Canals Canals Rosat Gran Reserva Cava, SPAIN

This cava is made in the foothills of the Penedes, the famous
wine-making region of Catalunya which is particularly renowned
for the calibre of their cava production. The vines benefit from
extended sunshine and cool breezes from the Mediterranean.

2004 Indaba Chenin Blanc, SOUTH AFRICA
This aromatic Chenin Blanc is light to medium bodied, full of ripe melon
and apple aromas and flavours. A small oaked component gives the wine
good structure, body and a lovely roundness on the palate with a clean
slightly spicy finish.

2005 Domaine Begude, Pinot Rose FRANCE
A rare pinot noir rose that comes from a small vineyard high in the foothills
of the Pyrenees. The long, cool growing season coupled with biodynamic
methods yields grapes of the highest, natural quality. A heady aroma of
plump strawberries and red cherries leads the way on the palate. Enjoy
this refreshing gem!

2004 Alpha Zeta Pinot Grigio ITALY
The Alpha Zeta range is made by New Zealander, Matt Thompson. Now resident
in Italy, Thompson is considered to be one of New Zealand’s leading
winemakers, making very modern and pure wines. This is an aromatic, fresh,
dry wine with floral notes and spicy, nutty characters. The nose is full
of tropical fruit; the palate is taut, elegant and long.

2004 Finca Antigua Blanco, SPAIN.
From an ultra-modern new vineyard in Central Spain, this fantastic wine
is a rich, creamy blend of viura, viognier and gewurztraminer. A nose
of white pear and peach is followed by a wide, creamy palate with a rich,
long finish. Lightly oaked, and full-bodied.

2004 Firefinch Sauvignon Blanc, Springfield Estate, SOUTH AFRICA.
The palate is full of soft green fruit, yet with a well-balanced, fresh
finish. From the Springfield Estate, Firefinch is an excellent sauvignon
with powerful aromas of grass and gooseberries and a zingy lime undertone.
It's rich and full-bodied, with a quality which underlines how South Africa
is vying for the position of the worlds top sauvignon producer.

2004 Casa Lapostolle Chardonnay, CHILE
Casa Lapostolle was established in 1994 by the Marnier-Lapostolle family,
producers of Grand Marnier. They are already one of Chile’s leading
wine producers, having won various international wine competitions over
the last few years. Using French wine-making expertise and the best Chilean
grapes, they have created a restrained, well-balanced and sophisticated
chardonnay with a buttery texture and citrusy palate.

2004 McHenry Hohnen Margaret River Sauvignon Blanc Semillon, AUSTRALIA
This is a very exciting new venture from one of the New Worlds most talented
and famous winemakers, David Hohnen. David’s vision is to create
quality food-orientated wines in Margaret River, from mainly Rhône
varietals, with his daughter Freya, as chief winemaker. This is a 50/50
blend where the two components are masterfully blended into a seamless
mouthful of creamy, silky gooseberry and tropical fruit making it very
drinkable and very moreish. The instant you taste the wine, you know it’s
a very well made example from this classic region.

2005 Mud House Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, NEW ZEALAND
John Joslin was a farmer in Essex before he and his wife Jennifer decided
to sell up and cruise the world. They did this for six years before dropping
anchor in New Zealand and after one visit to Marlborough the yacht was
sold and 20 acres in the heart of the wine growing region was bought.
A unique Mud block house was built in the vineyard, hence the name and
the company produced its first wines in 1996. This particular wine is
a very elegant Sauvignon Blanc, dry and crisp with a lovely passionfruit
character, bolstered by goosberry and herbal flavours, mouth-watering
acidity and a long, rich finish.

2004 Sancerre Les Renarderies, Domaine Cherrier, FRANCE
Fresh and fruity, this Sancerre shows classic blackcurrant and gooseberry
character and is made by one of the area’s top producers. A gentle,
pure nose of minerals, smoke and cut grass leads to a refined wine that
is light, but with a long finish.

2002 Louis Latour Montagny Premier Cru La Grande Roche, FRANCE
Founded in 1797, Maison Louis Latour is one of the most highly respected
domaine-owning negociants in Burgundy, with a worldwide reputation for
excellence and quality. 2002 was acknowledged as an exceptional vintage,
creating a rich, smooth burgundy with full ripeness and width on the palate.
Glistening light golden in colour this exceptional wine has rich aromas
of white peaches and nuts on the nose. This is a full-bodied, fat wine
with delicious notes of apricot and fresh almonds.

2004 Ponte Pietra Merlot Corvina, ITALY
This Northern Italian merlot-based blend bursts with red berry and cherry
flavours. Light and fresh.

2003 Sequiot Tempranillo DO Valenica, SPAIN
This is made from the grapes of old, low-trained vines grown at altitude,
producing a deep coloured wine with fleshy fruit flavours. It is full-bodied
and rich, with dark blackberry and plum aromas and plenty of structure
to cope with red meats and spicy, peppery dishes.

2004 Naked Grape Syrah, FRANCE
Made by a leading Rhone producer working in the South of France. It is
creamy, soft and wide, with powerful aromas and flavours of plum, herbs
and pepper. A luscious mid-palate leads to a fine, finish that lingers
beautifully.

2004 Ranch Series Cabernet Sauvignon, USA
An excellent example of new world Cabernet. Classical cassis and smoky
flavours dominate, with more than a hint of creamy vanilla and mocha chocolate
in the mid-palate. Ripe, soft and drinkable, this still retains a little
firmness at the end of the palate which keeps it from becoming cloying.

2004 Springfield Firefinch Ripe Red, SOUTH AFRICA
From one of the South Africa's most innovative producers, this wine is
a blend of 50% merlot, 30% ruby cabernet and 20% cabernet sauvignon. It
manages to be ripe yet dry, finished off with a touch of spice. An excellent,
full-bodied all-rounder.

2002 Rioja "La Montessa", Herencia Remondo, SPAIN
A beautifully made, elegant Crianza aged in oak. It is medium-bodied with
silky tannins and has tastes of smoky black
cherry and currants. It also has a herby freshness with a long and persistent
finish.

2003 Rully Rouge, Dureuil Janthial, FRANCE
Bursts from the glass with intense spices and floral aromas. Medium-bodied
and concentrated, it is a powerful red that
has dense layers of syrupy dark fruit that linger in it’s immensely
impressive finish.

2002 Chateau Loudenne, Medoc Cru Bourgeois, FRANCE
This wine is a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 48% Merlot, 6% Cabernet
Franc as well as a little 1%Malbec and is a very intense red colour. Its
bouquet reveals blackberry, black-currant and cherry, whilst spicy hints
and a latent woodiness add to the complexity. It is lively in the mouth
and there is a roundness, giving the wine fullness. It’s structure
is compact and the tannin’s purity contributes to the high quality
of this finish which is the sign of a great Medoc wine.

overtones. Goes extremely well with blue cheese, fruit-based puddings

A delicious vin santo served chilled with biscotti. It is not too sweet
nor too sticky, with wonderful aromas of peaches and almonds. If you can’t
